Social Core2025.1 Draft

Etiquette

From Discover to Reflect

Every Saints Global badge follows the same arc — learn it, plan it, do it, then reflect on what changed.

  1. Step 1 · DISCOVER

    Discover

Learn what this badge is really about.

Read Philippians 2:3–4 and explain how humility and awareness of others shape proper conduct in public and private settings. (TLX: 0.9)

Identify three everyday situations where poor etiquette causes tension or harm and explain why courtesy matters in each. (TLX: 1.1)

Explain the difference between confidence and rudeness, and how tone, posture, and attention communicate respect without words. (TLX: 1.2)

  2. Step 2 · PLAN

    Plan

Get ready — gather what you need.

Identify four common social settings you regularly enter and, for each, name one behavior that shows respect and one that shows disregard. (TLX: 1.4)

Plan how you will demonstrate courtesy in two settings that are uncomfortable or inconvenient for you. (TLX: 1.5)

Explain one personal habit you will need to restrain or adjust in order to show better etiquette. (TLX: 1.3)

  3. Step 3 · ACT

    Act

Do the work, in the real world.

Demonstrate proper etiquette during a shared meal or group gathering, showing attentiveness, restraint, and respect for others throughout the interaction. (TLX: 1.7)

Practice respectful conversation by engaging with an adult or peer in a setting where disagreement or formality is present, maintaining appropriate tone, eye contact, and listening. (TLX: 1.8)

Demonstrate digital etiquette by composing and sending a courteous message in a situation where misunderstanding or conflict could easily occur. (TLX: 1.7)

Serve as a host or helper in a real setting, anticipating needs and placing others’ comfort before your own. (TLX: 2.0)

Demonstrate restraint by choosing polite, respectful behavior in a moment where impatience, interruption, or sarcasm would be easier, and explain what you chose to do instead. (TLX: 1.9)

  4. Step 4 · REFLECT

    Reflect

Look back and see what changed.

Explain how practicing courtesy affected the way others responded to you. (TLX: 1.2)

Share how disciplined etiquette can be a form of service and a reflection of Christlike character. (TLX: 1.3)
